Additional adoption info
Our usual fee to adopt is $50 for pets under 1 year old and $30 for over 1 year old. If the pet is not already spayed/neutered and microchipped prior to an approved adoption application, a $100 deposit is collected and a spay/neuter contract must be signed stating the animal being adopted will be spay/neutered within 30 days of adoption and a copy of certificate from a licensed vet/clinic must be provided to the rescue within 14 days after surgery. If not complied with, the $100 deposit is forfeited and animal can be reclaimed and put back up for adoption. An adoption application must be completed and submitted prior to any adoptions. All applicants must submit and agree to a home visit from an officer of the rescue. Background checks are conducted to verify no criminal or civil charges are pending or posted against potential adopter in regards to animal welfare. Once references and checks come back satisfactory, adopter is contacted and time is arranged for any surgeries and/or adoption. An adoption contract is then signed and agreed upon by both the rescue representative and adopter. A copy of the contract along with original vetting records go to the adopter. Original contract and copy of vetting records stays with the rescue.
