Rescue FAQs

Rescue for North Bay Beagles is a foster based rescue with it's primary location in Santa Rosa, CA. We have foster homes throughout the country and at times dogs are available from these extended locations. We rescue beagles and hounds from countrywide locations. Many of these dogs did not succeed as being good hunting dogs so they were abandoned in the woods, chained for a number of years outside, or turned into kill shelters where they are frequently euthanized. We bring many of these dogs to our rescue and have found them make wonderful, cherished pets.

Additional adoption info

Our adoption fee is $325.00. We conduct a home visit to ensure the safety of our dogs, we require a meet and greet if there are other dogs in the home. We provide a two week trial sleepover to ensure that it is a good fit with the family. There are two contracts to sign, the Sleepover Agreement and the Adoption Contract that include all the dog's vet records and shot history. If the dog is returned within the two week period, there is a full refund of the adoption fee.
