Rescue FAQs

We are an all-volunteer foster home rescue. We rescue abandoned and unwanted cats from family relinquish situations, shelters, animal controls, and veterinarians.

Our cats are examined by a veterinarian, blood tested, spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and parasite tested/treated. Adopters are provided with medical records, a rabies certificate, and information to help introduce the cat to their home. We also provide information about the cat that we have learned through foster and daily interaction by our volunteers.

Adoption steps

  1. Visit the Facility and Find a Pet
We require that all members of the family meet the pet, and then if all parties (including our counselors) agree, we will proceed
  2. Interview
We also typically don't do same-day adoptions - we find that asking families to "sleep on it" leads to a much better fit!
  3. Submit Application
We have forms to fill out, and then the adoption fee (paid by cash or check only) and your new family member can be on their way home.

Additional adoption info

Phone and in-person interviews and meet and greet with the prospective adopter(s), require all parties fro the household to be participating and present for interviews, adoption fees vary depending on animal history and needs. Final determination made in the best interest of the adopter and animal, after time spent contemplating on both ends of the adoption process (both adoption counselor and adopter). We do not do same-day adoptions to ensure that the environment is best for both family and pet, and adopters are educated about this policy as well.
