Kentucky Humane Society - East Campus

MISSION: The Kentucky Humane Society is a champion for companion animals. Through leadership, education and proactive solutions, we are creating more compassionate communities. Founded in 1884, the Kentucky Humane Society (KHS) is the oldest and largest animal welfare agency in the state thanks to private supporters. As the area’s number-one resource for pets and pet services, KHS is dedicated to improving the welfare of companion animals in our area. The Kentucky Humane Society is the state's largest pet adoption agency. Through adoptions, education programs and spay/neuter efforts, KHS offers proactive solutions to the pet overpopulation crisis in our area. Donor support and special fundraising events enable KHS to continue sheltering and providing care for thousands of needy, unwanted animals each year. We do not receive any state or federal funding. The Kentucky Humane Society also has a full-time spay/neuter clinic in Louisville. The S.N.I.P. Clinic provides affordable spay/neuter surgeries to owned cats and dogs.
