We provide animal care and protection services for all of Bernalillo County. Bernalillo County Animal Care is committed to: • Providing humane care to companion animals • Reuniting lost pets with their owners • Adopting pets to loving homes • Enforcing the Bernalillo County Animal Ordinances • Educating the public about animals, their needs, and our critical role as a community resource

Please note that all adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis, so don’t wait! If you see an animal online you’re interested in adopting, note the animal’s name and A# and visit our resource center Tuesday – Saturday from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. We are located at 3001 2nd St. SW in the South Valley. Our friendly staff and volunteers are here to assist you and answer any questions.
