Rescue FAQs

Spay & Neuter Nation is a 501c3 organization dedicated to educating the public about the value of spay and neuter of pets, assisting private citizens and communities with the cost of neutering pets, and helping control the community cat population through TNVR (trap-neuter-vaccinate-return). We also provide monthly training sessions about TNVR and bottle feeding.

We have two main sources for our cats and kittens: community cats that cannot be returned to their colonies for health/safety reasons and animals pulled from local shelters who are in desperate need of a positive outcome.

We are not a shelter; our adoption events are a collaboration of multiple individual fosters with the same goal: to find loving furever homes for these kitties.

Adoption steps

  1. Visit the Facility and Find a Pet
    1. We encourage prospective families to meet the cats in person. You may fall in love with one kitty's photo, but the personality of another.
  2. Submit Application
    1. Application required for reference checks and are not legally binding.
They are available on request: email SNNAdoptions@gmail.com
  3. Home Check
    1. We want to make sure that the cat's new digs are cat friendly. We also verify if pets are allowed and if there are required/related fees.
  4. Sign Adoption Contract
    1. Congrats! You are now the proud human of a purr monster! This step makes it all legit.
  5. Pay Fee
    1. Adoption fees are minimum suggested donations.
      Kittens < 6 mos = $100
      Kittens 6-12 mos = $75
      Adults/special needs = $50
  6. Pay Fee
    1. Fall in love with our adoption special for siblings or bonded pairs! $150 for kittens and $75 for adults.
  7. Pay Fee
    1. Military discount! Are you an active or retired service member? Ask us about our Pets For Vets program. And THANK YOU for your service.

Additional adoption info

We show our kitties at adoption events where you can meet the pet and complete the application. If you cannot come to the event, we are happy to arrange private meetings. Home checks are at the discretion of each individual foster.
