About Our Shelter:

Cats Haven started 16yrs ago because there was a need for special needs kitties to have a place to go to
We are a volunteer run organization
All kitties in our care are tested for felv/fiv, vaccinated, given any vet care they may need ie: a broken leg fixed, etc before being offered for adoption. Also, the cats/kittens are spayed or neutered before they go up for adoption We have normal (as normal as a kitty can be) as well as the special need cat/kitten They live in a home environment: in foster homes or at the main shelter house This way we can tell you if the cat will tolerate dogs, other cats, is loving or shy

Come Meet our Pets:

We hold adoption events at Petco stores in Fishers, Carmel, Greenwood & Speedway
Petsmart on W.86th st near Michigan RD
Pet Supplies Plus on Rockville RD most Sundays weather permitting Call the shelter house to see where we are holding adoptions thru the week as venues change:317-925-7001

Our Adoption Process:

The adoption fee is $80 dollars for any cat/kitten under 5 yrs of age The fee for kitties over 5 yrs of age is $50 dollars We do require a contract to be signed, note/copy of lease from landlord if you rent to make sure pets are allowed If you are interested in a special needs cat/kitten that has to have special nursing or care, the caretaker will also have to talk to your vet to make sure you can care for the cat/kitten

Our Adopted Pets:

We have helped lots of pets connect with loving and caring owners. Check out our adopted pets list!

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a cat or kitten versus getting cats for sale or kittens for sale from a cat breeder? When someone is breeding kittens, they are creating new cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of cat or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a cat for sale from a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with cats who must find homes. So rather than buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a cat or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
