Dog adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog and you'll have a friend for life! Contact us, or contact another local humane society, animal shelter or SPCA.
WHO WE ARE:
We are a 501(c)3 volunteer based non profit organization dedicated to the welfare, care and adoption of abandoned and homeless animals. Our priority is to help homeless and abandoned animals in our community receive a second chance at life and promote humane education for the responsible treatment of all companion animals. We also provide educational materials that will help pet owners with their animals.
All of our animals are kept in foster homes.
We are NOT a shelter and do not have a physical building.
All adoption applications are handled via email unless potential adopters do not have access to the internet.
Our Meet and Greet Events are every other month the 3rd Saturday if scheduled and announced on our website.
OUR MISSION IS:
1. Providing caring, responsible environments for abandoned, abused, and unwanted animals.
2. Providing humane education and community information services.
3. Working to reduce animal overpopulation and to prevent cruelty.
4. Serving as an advocate for animals and promoting humane standards.
5. Enhancing the relationship between animals and people primarily through education.
An Adoption Application may be completed at the following link.
We are not a shelter but a RESCUE and DO NOT have a physical location.
ALL of our adoptable dogs are kept in private foster homes where they can be part of a family lifestyle outside of a crate, get individual attention and love, socialization and basic training during their temporary transition to a new permanent home.
All adoptions are done through applications. If you are interested in one of our pets, it is important that you
complete an Adoption Application at this link.
This is the first step in the process. Arrangements can be made to meet the pet who has touched your heart through the picture and personal story after the application process has begun.
Thank you for your desire to help the homeless pet population by serving as a rescue organization foster or by adopting from your local shelter or rescue group!
1.) Complete an Adoption Application at the following link.
2.) Adoption counselor(s) call and check the vet reference, go over the app and request more information from the applicant if there are questions about any of the information on it.
3.) References are checked.
4.) A home visit is done with or without the animal in attendance according to the situation.
5.) The applicant is approved or disapproved and informed.
6.) An Adoption Agreement Contract is completed.
An Adoption Counselor and the Foster Mom or Dad review all applications and try to make a selection for each animal on which home and family, in our opinion, is the best match for that individual animal. This is not an overnight process, and can take up to a week.
Why should you adopt?
Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a dog or puppy versus getting dogs for sale or puppies for sale from a dog breeder? When someone is breeding puppies, they are creating new dogs who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog or puppy and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale from a puppy breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs who must find homes. So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog or adopt a puppy at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
