About Our Shelter:

We are an organized Law Enforcement Agency of the Davis County Government. We take in animals and enforce County Ordinances.We have a dedicated staff who wants to ensure that every adoptable animal finds a good home

Come Meet our Pets:

We are open M-F 9AM-6PM. We encourage the whole family including any furry ones to come along when looking at one of our pets. We are located at 1422 E 600 N in Fruit Heights, UT. Please call for directions (801)-444-2200. Often on Saturdays we hold an adoption event at a local Petsmart or Petco. Please call on Friday to get the location and/or time of weekend adoption event.

Our Adoption Process:

Please call for current adoption prices. All of our adopted dogs and cats will be be spayed or neutered before they can be adopted and cannot be used for any illegal purposes. Dogs: adoption fee includes spay/neuter, first set of shots, microchip and county license (for davis county residents), Cats: adoption fee includes spay/neuter, first set of shots, Pocket Pets (including rabbits, hamsters, birds) $1.00-5.00. Livestock (goats, sheep, chicken, etc) varies by breed.

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life! When someone is breeding puppies or breeding kittens, they are creating new dogs and cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog, cat, puppy or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale or buy a cat for sale from a puppy breeder or a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes. So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
