Areas Heard County Animal Control serves

We are a rural animal control, 45 minutes south of Atlanta, Ga airport.
We are very rescue friendly, have a fairly new shelter building, accept out of state rescues, no fees for any licensed rescue organizations.
We have many beautiful dogs and cats in this location and we have a great record for the health and welfare of our animals.

Our fee range from $64 to $195. What you get for those fee are: Adoption fee,spay/neuter, rabies and a micro chip. The fees range by male/female, small, medium, large. Dogs/cats. Cats do not get micro chip.These fee are for individual adopters only. Rescue groups there is no fee, but no vetting also. After the fees are paid, then we set up vetting. We are animal control in Franklin Georgia. We are very rescue friendly. We help the people in Heard county with stray animals. We try very hard to get the animals that come into our facility adopted out or rescued. We welcome any help that we can get. These animals in our facility need a second chance.
Our hours are: Mon., Tues., Thur. 8:30-12:00 1:00-5:00 Wed. 8:30-12:00 Fri. 8:30-12:00 1:00-4:00 and Sat. 8:30-12:00 Closed Sundays and Holidays.

So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
