Schnorkie Rescue
About Our Rescue Group
Schnorkie Rescue is an all-volunteer organization dedicated to rescuing yorkies and schnauzers from animal shelters, abusive and neglectful situations, including puppy mills and "backyard breeders".
We take in pets needing to be surrendered only when there are no shelter animals needing assistance.
Each pet that we take in is completely vetted, which includes a physical examination, tested for heartworms (treatment if necessary), brought up to date on vaccinations, spayed or neutered, monthly heartworm prevention and any medications that the animal might need during their stay in foster care.
Come Meet our Pets
By appointment only. All dogs are in private foster homes.
Our Adoption Process
We require a completed adoption application, reference checks and a home visit. Our adoption fee
ranges from $150.00-$300.00.

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a dog or puppy versus getting dogs for sale or puppies for sale from a dog breeder? When someone is breeding puppies, they are creating new dogs who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog or puppy and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale from a puppy breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs who must find homes. So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog or adopt a puppy at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
