Cities, Towns, and/or Counties We Serve:
Our animals are rescued from Madison Animal Control. We also take owner surrenders from the Madison area, on a case by case basis.About Our Rescue Group:
Madison Animal Rescue Foundation (MARF) is a rescue group located in Madison, Alabama. It is our goal to rescue dogs and cats from Madison Animal Control, which is so small, animals are usually only given 7 days before they are euthanized. We give these animals another chance by placing them in caring foster homes with fosters dedicated to training & socialization! We keep all of our animals an additional 7 days to learn their personality & temperament, hoping to ensure that your new pet fits perfectly into your family! It is our goal & our passion to save lives... one animal at a time!!Come Meet our Pets:
We currently have adoption events each Saturday from 11:00 am-3:00 pm at Petco on Highway 72 (Target shopping center) in Madison, Alabama! If you are interested in a pet, please fill in an application at www.madisonarf.org/marf-depot/adoption-application.We also hold special events, so please check our website for our events or location changes at www.madisonarf.org.
Our Adoption Process:
Our animals are rescued from Madison Animal Control, a very small, high kill animal shelter in Madison, Alabama. All animals are given health exams, including a heart worm test. They are up do date on all shots appropriate to age. All animals who are of age, have been spayed/neutered. For puppies/kittens, MARF will provide a scheduled time for the animal to be altered. Failure to comply with spay/neuter is a breach of the MARF adoption contract, and we reserve the right to re-claim the animal. Adoption fees vary depending upon age and breed. An adoption application must be filled out & will be reviewed by the organization director and/or foster. Our animals are strictly indoor/outdoor and we do not adopt out an animal who is to be kept exclusively outside. All adopters of “Bully Breeds” must own their home & have a fenced yard.To meet a MARF animal: We currently have adoption events each Saturday from 11:00 am-3:00 pm at Petco on Highway 72 (Target shopping center) in Madison, Alabama!
