We rescue pugs from Oxnard, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, and the inland Central Valley of California. We rehabilitate and ready pugs for adoption before they are placed in forever homes.

About Our Rescue Group:

Central Coast Pug Rescue (CCPR) is an all-volunteer, 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue of abandoned, displaced, neglected and abused Pugs. We rehabilitate medically needy pugs to ready them for loving permanent homes. All donations, large or small, are truly appreciated, and 100% are applied to the rescue and medical treatment for the Pugs in our care (past, present and future) that are waiting to find loving homes.

Our Adoption Process:

First step is to contact us and fill out an adoption application. We then require a home visit to meet you and your family to ensure a safe, loving home for our rescued pugs. Our fees range from $100 for a senior pug to $350 for pug puppies. 100% of our adoption fees goes to care for rescued pugs.If you are interested in a pug in our care. Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a dog or puppy versus getting dogs for sale or puppies for sale from a dog breeder? When someone is breeding puppies, they are creating new dogs who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog or puppy and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale from a puppy breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs who must find homes. So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog or adopt a puppy at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
