Dog adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog and you'll have a friend for life! Contact us, or contact another local humane society, animal shelter or SPCA.
Formed in 2003 to help Massachusetts dogs in need.
Over 650 dogs rescued since inception.
20+ active foster homes.
Our Primary Goals
Recognize that a sustainable dog rescue program cannot exist without the cooperation and efforts of volunteers.
Prevent the euthanasia of any dog which can be matched with an appropriate home.
Provide the best quality, most responsible home for each individual dog.
Provide support to any dog owner considering the surrender of a dog.
The adoption fee ranges from $250-$450 for most adult dogs (decided on a case-by-case basis). This is to help defray the costs of spaying, neutering, transportation and other medical expenses. All dogs are spayed or neutered, examined by a vet, given medical shots and treated for any medical condition they may have, prior to adoption. Donations above the adoption fee are always welcome!
To apply for one of our dogs, please fill out an Adoption Application. A volunteer will respond to your application within 48 hours. If you have a question about one of our dogs, you can email us and we'll be happy to try to answer it.
Why should you adopt?
Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a dog or puppy versus getting dogs for sale or puppies for sale from a dog breeder? When someone is breeding puppies, they are creating new dogs who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog or puppy and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale from a puppy breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs who must find homes. So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog or adopt a puppy at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
