Cities, Towns, and/or Counties We Serve:

Adopt-A-Stray Rescue is based in Benton, Ar. We take dogs from the kill shelters here and place them in foster homes until their forever families find them and adopt them. We use Got Orphans Transport exclusively to get our babies to their new families in MD and surrounding areas.

About Our Rescue Group:

Adopt A Stray Rescue was founded in Jan. 2010 by Kelley Prichard. We are a small group of volunteers who have big hearts for the animals in need in Arkansas and other parts of the south. We have found that the best way to find great homes for these pets is to get them seen in other states, where there are not as many homeless/unwanted pets. We use several transporters to get them wherever they need to go. Our only objective is to find quality homes for the pets in need.

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a dog or puppy versus getting dogs for sale or puppies for sale from a dog breeder? When someone is breeding puppies, they are creating new dogs who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog or puppy and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale from a puppy breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs who must find homes. So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog or adopt a puppy at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
