Tri-State All Breed Rescue

I am a retired teacher who started rescuing Pembroke Welsh Corgis, my breed of dog that I own. While visiting my local shelter, I found many beautiful purebred and mixes that needed a home, too, so I became an All Breed Rescue. Rescuing a dog is not for everyone. These dogs come into my home scared and unsure of what has happened to them. My goal is to get these dogs back to health and completely vetted for the new adopters. I crate train my rescues so they will be well on their way to being house trained for the new owners. I feed a top of the line dog food because so many of them come in with severe skin issues and allergies.

Rescue FAQs

We adopt to all areas of the US. I have dogs that have been adopted to Canada, Florida, Washington State, and all areas in between. We are located in Washington County, MD.

Additional adoption info

Tri-State All Breed Rescue requires an application for adopting a pet. There is a contract for adoption to be filled out to protect the dog and prevent it from going into a shelter again. There is an adoption fee to help cover the expenses on the dogs. We spay/neuter, give all shots, Heartworm test dogs over 6 months, and microchip all dogs before adoption. The adoption fees will vary depending on breed and age of the dog. Any extra fees go towards hospital fees for sick or injured dogs. Senior dogs can cost more for us because they usually need a dental and extra vetting to keep them healthy.
