Hi There! My name is Katniss. I was named after the heroine from the Hunger Games and Catching Fire. My foster mom thought the name was very fitting for me since I have lived a real life version of the Hunger Games. You see, I was rescued from a hoarding situation. The person that owned me could not take care of me and all of the other cats properly. Like the Hunger Games, we were left fending for ourselves to find food to eat and just trying to survive. Thankfully, Furry Friends rescued me from my own hunger games, and I now have plenty of food to eat, a warm bed to sleep on, and a loving foster mom. I may have hit the jackpot, but only one thing is missing. My own true forever home.

My foster mom says that I am one of the most beautiful kittens she has ever seen. I must say, I agree with her, because I love to pose for pictures. I will have longer hair, and will require occasional brushing to keep me from getting matted. That’s fine with me because I absolutely love being brushed. I can be a little shy at first, but it does not take me long to come out of my shell. Once I’ve figured out I’m safe, I’m a super sweet girl. I’ve got a great purr motor and know how to use it! I do like to play, especially with feather toys. I also like to bat around jingle balls and fuzzy mice. When I’m done, I like to curl up in my foster mom’s lap for a quick nap. I do enjoy playing with my sister, Effie, so I would really like to go to a home with another pet that I can play with.
