Hi, my name is Lucy. We thought I was 8-9 years old based on the paperwork that came with me when I was rescued, but the vet thinks I am between 6-8 based on my teeth and excellent health. I feel and act like a youngster too! I went on a road trip from North Carolina to my short term foster in Virginia Beach, and then went on to Pennsylvania. I was a good girl on the trips, riding quietly for the nice ladies who were helping me. I was real nervous at first; but by the end of the trip, I was giving kisses!
I‘m a sweet, inquisitive girl who likes to snuggle, and of course, give kisses to all of my new friends. I am a very gentle girl who is really affectionate. I‘ll nuzzle you when I wanted to be petted and will even let you give me tummy rubs when I get to know you. I‘m a little shy with strangers, so I need a little time to get comfortable with new people. I‘m loving my foster family and enjoy sleeping in the bed and hopping up on the couch to watch movies.
I am doing really well on the leash and also know some commands, including Come and Stay. I have some new doggie friends, Lillie and Marble, at my foster home. We became fast friends and enjoy playing and snuggling together. I also lived with cats at my previous home.
I have a great appetite and enthusiastically eat at every meal. I‘ll let Foster Mom pet me while I am eating, and it doesn‘t bother me a bit. I like cookies and LOVE the yummy chicken treats we got for Christmas.
Foster Mommy says I am adorable!
