Miss Gravy's Story...
Meet Miss Gravy! Found wandering the streets, she has quickly gotten used to being a cuddly couch-potato in her foster home. She's content curling up next to you for a movie, or going for a walk. Gets along great with all dogs, big and small - as well as children. She's never met a dog or person she didn't like. She is 1-2 yrs old. She has a crooked tail and a little limp (for reasons we will probably never know), but it doesn't slow her down. If you're looking for a cuddle-buddy, walking companion, and play-pal - Miss Gravy just may be your girl!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Miss Gravy, a Irmo Basenji dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Basenji for sale in Irmo, or seeking a Basenji dog from a breeder in Irmo.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Irmo already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Irmo breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Basenji breeders who help with Basenji rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Irmo paves the way for another one to be saved.
