Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This handsome boy is Wilson, a very nice 4-5 year old boy. He loves to run and play with his ball. Wilson likes all the attention on him so he will need to go to a home with just him or a smaller, non-dominant female. He also definitely will have to have a fenced in yard to run around in. He knows several commands such as sit, stay, down, and come. He is also trained on a whistle to come.
UPDATE FROM PROFESSIONAL TRAINER: Wilson is a large black lab mix. His previous owners said that he does not do well with other dogs or strangers. While evaluating Wilson I saw no signs of aggression towards me or the other family dog. However, based on remarks made by Wilson's former owner I feel that he would do best in a single dog home with no children. This would enable Wilson to get the attention he needs and not put him in situations that make him anxious. Wilson's former owner will also be paying for a 2 week board and train program prior to his adoption. This would enable Wilson and his new family to start off their relationship with clear boundaries and structure. I feel that Wilson is a very intelligent dog that simply needs consistent rules and training. He will make an excellent companion for empty nestors or a single person looking for a new friend.
