My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

FOSTER HOME NEEDED Meet adoptable Jax! He is an 11-month-old, 60-lb, healthy, housetrained, Labrador Retriever / Redbone Coonhound / Boxer cross who will be neutered and given all shots before being adopted. Jax is described as a Party Animal / Social Butterfly who has a high activity level. He comes with his bones, dishes, collars, leashes, and any remaining food. Jax is a happy-go-lucky fellow and has been great with dogs, strangers and kids, but his boisterousness tends to knock down littles, so older children only please.* Jax thinks cats are very yummy, so a cat-free household please. Jack would love to fetch a ball in a medium-to-large-sized yard! Though Mr. Jax loves his people, he has some hound in the mix and would follow his nose without using his ears, so he's not suitable for off leash living. Jax loves to get a good chew on his favourite bones. This boy is young and ripe for some training, such as keeping four paws on the floor to get attention. He loves his walks! At the end of the night, he will reward you by being a total cuddle bug and despite his 60-lbs, he thinks he is a lap dog LOL. If you're looking for a young dog with TONS of potential, Jax is it. He could be your running mate, dog park companion, and couch love bug all wrapped up in a compact 60-lb package with velvety ears just made for petting.
*Though our volunteers try their best, we cannot guarantee that any rescued animal will be a perfect match for each resident, child, or resident pet in every foster/forever home.
