My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Maxx is an extremely handsome, loyal and well-trained, three-year-old, 58-pound, male tri-color shepherd-mix looking for a loving guardian. Maxx is a well-trained and well-behaved dog who lived with a family with five children ranging in age from three to twelve. He’s housebroken and wonderful with people of all ages. He knows the commands sit, down, paw and other paw. He loves to show off what he knows and gives kisses to those who will receive them. Maxx even shared his former home with a cat with whom he played well with.

Times are tough for the family and resources for luxuries like dog care dried up. Maxx has a huge bark when he sees other dogs when he is on leash, but when he is off-leash with other dogs, he is as sweet as candy. He loves to play. He’s great in the car, and good on leash – just a bit strong. Maxx is very healthy, neutered, up-to-date on rabies, distemper and bordatella vaccines. He’s also treated with flea preventative. To meet and possibly adopt Maxx, please contact his friend Cathy at viva_la_cathy@yahoo.com or 708-670-6575. His adoption fee of $100 benefits rescued pets.
