My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Woo Hoo – let’s go, let’s go, let’s go; can we, can we, can we?

FOSTER LOCATION: Nampa, ID

My name is Ziva; I am one happy girl who likes nothing more than to be out doing something; anything with my people! I am a strong, bold and beautiful 10 month old spayed female Australian Kelpie mix. I have had a few bumps in the road of my short life, but have come out the other side more beautiful and devoted to those who really love me!

I love to run/jog, burn off energy with my dog friends, play with my flirt stick, chase squeaky toys and chew on Nyla bones. Don’t let that fool you I also love belly rubs and will take long naps (on the couch if you’ll let me). I’m pretty good in the house; you just need to make sure I get my play time. I really like to spend my time with you having a good time; I’d love to go running with you or try my hand at camping and hiking!

Being a nice young lady I am house and crate trained. I also know a few fancy commands: sit, wait, no, leave it, that’s enough, off, come, etc. I have to admit that I haven’t learned to sit and wait at the front door yet, I’m working on it but come on there is just so much to see and do out there! However my list of things I can expands every day; did I mention I like treats? I am pretty good on a leash most of the time but I do get excited when I see another dog; I just want to play! I like kids but I lived with some that were not very nice to me; so only older kids probably 10 and up please.

Did you say food? Yes, please and thank you! I love treats and am more than happy to work for them. I will sit and wait for treats and usually take them easily, but I am still young so sometimes I forget and get fingers too.

I am an active young lady; left to my own devices without the mental stimulation, exercise and ability to be part of the family I just might try my paw at re-landscaping. But give me some toys and some good exercise and I’m a very good roommate.

The nice people at Fuzzy Pawz made sure I was spayed (no babies – yeah), vaccinated (whatever that is) and put a thing in me called a microchip (in case I get lost) so I’m all ready to go to my new forever home.

If you can offer me a place in your life and a place in your heart then please go to http://fuzzypawzrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application-2/, fill out the pre adoption application and my people will contact your people.

There is a $40 adoption fee.

If you are not familiar with the Kelpie breed, we recommend you do some research. Here is a short video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DDaBJOMdOsY
