Hello there world. If you're looking for a fun companion with short legs and a whole lot of love to give, I think I could be your girl! My name is Princess Buttercup (just Buttercup for short) and I've been told I am a Corgi/Dachshund mix. I'm not so sure, but I'm pretty cute if I do say so myself and I think I do a good job of proving blondes have more fun!
I am a good, affectionate girl just waiting for that special someone to love me and show me what it’s like to have a real family. I’m fine with cats even though I think they look kind of funny. I am searching for a forever home where I will be the only dog I’m pretty picky about my doggie friends and would rather no have to share the spotlight.
I love to go on regular walks, I love to run and play and just between you and me, the thing I love most in the world is a ball. I mean, I love treats, too, but I'm kind of obsessed with balls. I like to carry them and fetch them and sleep with them and if you throw one in water, heck, I’ll even dive in for them! My foster mom says I will pretty much do anything for a ball. I've had some training and I know how to sit, lie down, drop it, stay and sit up pretty, plus I'm really great on a leash.
I would love someone who would spend more time teaching me things because I'm pretty smart and I love to show off. In fact, I sit up all the time like a little prairie dog because it seems to make people laugh for some reason. I don't bark very much but I will definitely let you know if someone is at the door or trying to visit you without being invited in. I’m really good in a car and I love to go for rides. I'm also crate trained and house trained and I think I am happiest when I'm with my people and I can just hang out near them and watch all the weird and strange things they do. I haven't ever lived with kids but I think I might like some because they are people too! Really, I just want a nice home with a family that will give me lots of attention, and the love I need.
Bottom line, I think I’m a pretty great dog and the only things I get a little freaked out about are loud noises like thunder or fireworks. So if it storms or its New Year's Eve, you may have to give me a little extra loving and some extra belly rubs to let me know things will be ok. Oh, and if you adopt me and take me home with you, it may take me a little time to feel comfortable and warm up to my new situation because change is kind of hard for me. Once I do, though, you won't be disappointed because I am the most loyal dog when I love you. Once I bond to you I am all YOURS!
So here are the deets: I am spayed, micro-chipped, and current on vaccinations and the nice vets think I am between 7-8 years old. Did I mention I love balls?
