Here's what the humans have to say about me:
N/M, 7-8 Months, Heeler Mix, Approx. 35 lbs.
Hello there! I am the New Year Miracle Boy. I survived a couple months of extremely cold weather on the streets and alleys of a tough Denver neighborhood. Once I noticed a nice lady feeding the stray cats. Then she began to leave food for me too. Initially I was scared to get close to her. However, on New Year's Day I was so cold that I could not stop shivering. I decided to follow the food lady to her car. She hugged me, lifted me in and took me took Maxfund. Now I am safe and warm. I even went for my first leash walk with a shelter volunteer. It was a little scary, but also kind of fun. I like it when calm and gentle people pet me. Maybe soon I will have a real home again. I would really like that. I have shown all the great folks here at MaxFund that I'm an EXTREMELY loving boy who is more than ready for my forever home! I'm so affectionate, and so very grateful for my second "leash" on life! Come meet me; I'm one in a million.
Update! My brother Luka was finally captured and brought to safety as well! We are so happy to be together again! Read all about him!
