Henry is an adult gsd who was found on the side of a highway near Malvern, Arkansas and he was in pretty bad shape. He was weak, malnourished and he had very little hair left on his skinny, frail body. Penny is the angle that saved him and took him to the vet. He has received much needed vet care and is now ready for his final resting home with a loving family that will spoil him with love and keep him in the house and make him part of the family, something he probably has never had. Henry loves people and gets so excited when he sees other dogs. He likes to walk the yard at his foster home but never takes his eye off his favorite dog friend or his foster mom. He never wants to be left behind again. Henry has discovered the food stuffed Kong toy and sits for his foster mom to bring it to him each morning. His favorite activities are laying his head in your lap, wearing his sweater, having his ears rubbed and of course eating. Henry would be most happy inside a home with a dedicated caregiver. His most favorite place is his heated bed next to the fireplace. He really wants to be warm and snuggle with someone who can shower him with love. Henry needs donations to help with his recovery costs. Donations can be made directly to Countryside Animal Hospital, Hot Springs, AR (501-624-2351 acct is under Penny for Henry). Henry will be getting his teeth fix so that he no longer has pain in his gums and donations are more than needed to help. Henry obviously has never had the home he deserves and he has shown us that he is really looking for a new start on life, a good loving life that he has never known. GSROR is helping Penny find a forever home for this sweet soul, even though we are in two different states, so we can network him to find a good home.
