Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This is Ender.
He is a very small and sassy 2 year old, 5lbs Chihuahua. He's a very special little guy who has just recovered from some major knee surgery and a hernia repair and is now looking for his forever home in Los Angeles.
He would prefer to live with another small, playful dog, and with someone who works from home (or who can take their dogs to work). He is happiest when with his people (being carried, on your lap or even in the same room).
His leg is still healing so his ideal companion has their own yard where he can roam and relieve himself, instead of taking daily walk or hike (for now). He is housebroken and very friendly with strangers. He does not bark when visitors come to the door unless you have another barker who starts the alert. (He's a bit of a follower that way)
Ender currently eats a raw diet and is taking an affordable glucosamine supplement to help his recovery. He loves to sleep with you under the covers -- until whenever you wake up. He's content to snuggle late into the morning. Ender was rescued from the shelter after possibly being hit by a car and as such, he is a bit fragile, and can be a bit dramatic about how he's handled, so he would be better off with someone without very small children or large, pushy dogs.
(Note: Ender's other knee may require surgery in future. Luxating patellas are common in chihuahuas.). Please visit our website for an online adoption application at www.dogswithoutborders.org and to learn more about our adoption fairs.
