My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

MISS PRISSY PANTS
September 2013, Female Seal Point Ragdoll

UPDATE 2/2/14: Miss Prissy his a very sweet girl. She will need extra time to get use to new people and situations. Playing is how to do it. eMiss Prissy is all about chasing and jumping for the toy! She loves the "chase". Prince and Miss Prissy play and run through the house together now for 3-4 hours each day. They love sleeping curled up together. Miss Prissy seems to be indifferent to other cats and typically avoids them.

Miss Prissy Pants and Prince Charming, came to us after spending more than a month in a cramped little cage together and we have no idea what they went through prior to that. All we know is that it was not good. They were scared to death of everything and anyone. They were really scared of a human standing above them and reaching for them. We are not sure what happened to them but we knew we had to rescue them and work with them.

Miss Prissy Pants is a beautiful Blue-Eyed Seal Point Ragdoll. She now likes to play and eventually gets just as crazy as her brother when playing. It really seemed like she did not know what playing was…but she does now! This little girl is blossoming almost daily. She has a loud motor boat purr and lets you know how much she likes being petted. She is trusting more every day, realizing that we humans are actually okay. She is still shy and can be hissy but give her about 5 minutes while you play with her, and talk to her; you’ll be patting her in no time. We’ve decided that Miss Prissy just likes to be vocal…because there is no action…just the hiss and it seems habitual.

Now that they have discovered how much fun it is to play, they have taken to re-arranging their room on a regular basis. They put their toys in the food and water dishes, turn their nesting box upside down and just move things all around. Every morning brings a new arrangement. Could she have been an interior designer in a previous life?

Miss Prissy Pants and Prince Charming are a true symphony when you have them both purring. They have made huge strides since the end of December. However, they will need to go to a quieter home with no real young children or dogs. You also must be patient and willing to give them time to adjust to all the changes and to learn to trust you. They are cuddle bugs, but you must take it slowly with them and not rush them into anything. They need to trust you first and foremost. When they do the rewards are priceless…

Prince Charming and Miss Prissy Pants will be ready to go home after February 13th. We prefer they be adopted together, as they are bonded. That would be the ideal situation for the pair. We feel she would also do well as an only cat with lots of play and interaction or with an easy-going cat to keep her company.

We will get more pictures up in the next few weeks and update their progress. Could you love these two very special purrmongers...forever?
Miss Prissy Pants seems to like dry food more then wet and will come to you spayed, tested, micro chipped, vaccinated and ready for all your love. She is, of course, litter box perfect. She will be available after February 13, 2013.

She is fostered in Reno, NV.
