Humans have so much to learn from dogs! Jimmy is a gorgeous and very special Weimeraner/Pointer mix. His golden-colored eyes hold so much wisdom as he's been through so much. He's chosen to forgive every tormenter and unkindness...and has emerged as a wonderful, so loving and extremely laid back 3 year old, 58 lb guy. He's a dog that's yearning for human companionship and acceptance. He loves nothing more in life than to be petted and pain attention to. Jimmy was a puppy that was put on a heavy chain at 10 weeks old and left there until his rescue last week. 3 years of hot summer sun and freezing winter temperatures..and not a complaint from this amazing spirit! Jimmy's view is that his life begins right now...and he approaches it with love and enthusiasm. It's the wisdom of this guy that draws everyone to him...his quiet ways and sweet loving head that he rests so gently on your knee to be petted..it almost makes you cry for what he's been through. But he feels differently...nothing but joy for all the possibilities that lie ahead. Jimmy would thrive with any family that loved him and treated him kindly. It would be perfect if they are open to...and have the time and motivation...to bring Jimmy to positive reinforcement training class. He'd be a great student because he desires to please and derives his greatest joy from the love and acceptance of the people he loves. He'd be a gift to any active family that loves to hike or snowshoe...it would be the fulfillment of his deepest joys! He's a take-along kind of dog...he tries very hard to have great behavior and works hard to please in every situation. If he feels safe, he bonds 1000%. He's so easy to spend time with...never any drama or challenges…and perfectly house trained.! - just a best friend who only wants to be at your side. We envision Jimmy as an only-dog...while he loves play dates and fun with other pups..at the end of the day he loves to go home and be the one and only snuggly and cuddly companion.
