My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello there!!! My name is Brady and I love to talk. I tell lots of stories and that includes all your secrets. I also like to hoard bones (I wonder if I'll end up on that show) till I have about 6 and then I want to sleep with them. They are soooooo good. I am looking for a family that will let me tell all my stories. If you are my person, have your people contact my people. Oh and I am completely potty trained, yippy!!! I will even let you know when I need to go to the bathroom and when I am hungry. I also rarely bark, so I would even be great living in an apartment because I wouldn't disturb the neighbors. I'm about 12 years young (doxies can live to be 17 or 18) and weigh about 25 lbs. My foster mom says that I am a really nice, calm gentleman. I'm happiest when I can find a quiet corner away from everything--did I mention that I live with six other dogs? :) My foster mom gives me lots of love but she thinks I might like it if there were just one or two other dogs around me--so I can just have more chill time. My favorite person has become my foster mom's granddaugher and I love to sleep with her at night. So I would be great in a home with kids! I do well with other dogs, but I really just prefer being with my person. I'd make a great companion for someone looking for a dog to snuggle with and provide companionship. I love to snuggle and I love to meet new people. Did you see my new pictures on petfinder--the photographer said he had trouble getting my picture taken because I kept trying to snuggle up to him! My foster mom says that I am just a really pleasant, laid back dog and would fit easily into a new environment where I am loved. Won't you consider taking me in and letting me be the newest member of your family? I will give you lots of love in return!

If you are interested in adopting Brady, you can fill out an application right on our website! Go to dreamhappytails.org/adoptform.shtml. Brady 's adoption fee is $180. All adoption fees go directly to veterinary care for DREAM dachshunds. Brady will go to his/her new home microchipped, altered, heartworm tested, and up to date on vaccinations. Most dogs' veterinary expenses are greater than our adoption fees.

DREAM is an all-volunteer rescue group, and we focus on the Atlanta, North Georgia and Savannah area. Because we are all volunteers, we can consider applications only within an hour of these areas. DREAM does not recommend purebred dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a doxie's back.
