Koda's Story...
Koda is a gorgeous male Lab mix, and he was born in March of 2013. He is all white, with a small brown spot on his back. He is very sweet and silly. He loves to play, and is a very smart boy! Koda is still very much a puppy, and he will need consistent, positive training. His favorite toys are squeaky toys, balls, and ropes. He would do best with children that are 8 years old or older. He should be fine with cats as long as they are introduced properly. He loves to play with other dogs. Koda may require a fenced-in yard. He will make a wonderful companion!

*Koda's adoption fee is $100. All HSSCM dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, current on vaccinations, heartworm tested, dewormed, and on heartworm / flea prevention.*

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Koda, a Battle Creek Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Battle Creek, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Battle Creek.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Battle Creek already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Battle Creek breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Battle Creek paves the way for another one to be saved.
