Sugar's Info...

I am already spayed, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Sugar's Story...
When we say sugar, we mean sweet as pie. This little girl was dumped with her brother in a high kill shelter in SC cause the breeder decided she didn't want to vet them anymore. At 8 lbs at around 8 months old, with her shy disposition, Sugar was scared and didn't understand why she was in this scarey place. Quite frankly, neither did we. So we took them home to safety where a loving foster has brought her out of her shell and now Sugar has blossomed into a cuddly, affectionate pup who loves adults, older children and other dogs. She'll play with anyone as long as your lap is available in the evening while you watch TV or read a book. If you have a warm spot in your heart and on your lap and you want to bring this sweet girl home, please copy and paste our online application to your browser and send us an application; http://members.petfinder.com/~CT243/sampleform.html. Full vetting including shots, worming and spay and her transport up north included in her $450 adopiton fee.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sugar, a Westport Dachshund puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Westport, or seeking a Dachshund puppy from a breeder in Westport.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Westport already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Westport breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Westport paves the way for another one to be saved.
