Bow's Story...
When Bow first arrived he was scared and shut down, we gave him time and love and in return we have gotten the pleasure of watching this handsome boy flourish into a playful, cuddly cat. Bow thinks pretty highly of himself which is rightfully so, he is one of the best leg rubbers, lap warmers, scratching post climbers and laser pointer chasers around. On top of that he is also great at using the litter box, he passed all of his vet checks, and he even allowed himself to get neutered. He has been spending time with the more "common" animals latley and he has decided that kittens are rather fun to play with and he may just enjoy having a fellow feline to help him rule his new home. He likes dogs as long as they remember he is the superior one and they give him the respect he deserves. If Bow's big, beautiful green eyes aren't enough to make you fall in love, his strong character and wonderful personality will seal the deal.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bow, a Smithers Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Smithers, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Smithers.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Smithers already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Smithers breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Smithers paves the way for another one to be saved.
