Sunshine was turned over to the humane society with babies. The owner "couldn't deal with them any more" All the babies found homes but poor Sunshine tested positive for heartworm and needed treatment. The humane society did not have a place where Sunshine could be while going through treatment. Dogs, have to be kept in a stress free quiet environment and anyone who has been to a shelter know that isn't the case. So Sunshine came to us.
She has been treated for hearworm and is scheduled to be spayed at the end of March. Sunshine is READY! Ready to be part of a family and live happily ever after.
She is an awesome little girl! She is crate trained, follows commands, is good with kids, loves to play fetch and tug-of-war, takes "cookies" very gently. When she is out of her crate, she is a typical "busy" JRT. In her crate, she is quiet and still.
Sunshine LOVES kids. We are requiring that Sunshine goes to a home with kids preferably under 12. Sunshine lights up when she see kids and we feel it is only fair to make sure she goes to a home where she is happiest.
