Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Zoinks! Scooby-Dooby-Doo, Velma found herself homeless. Rut-Roh!!
Jinkies! Velma is a 2-3 year old spayed female Norwich Terrier mix.
This pint size mystery solver weighs in at 9.5 lbs, and has been rated highly trainable.
FOSTER LOCATION: Nampa, ID
Velma is a loving young girl who prefers to be with her people. She rides excellently in the car and walks with a loose leash when out on the town. Velma has done well with the three large dogs in her Fuzzy Pawz Rescue foster home and is friendly to all the dogs she meets. She has recently started trying to play with toys and the other dogs. Velma has been tested with cats and did fabulously. Velma has not had any issues with strangers and allows handling; however we think Velma would be happiest in a home with children 10 and older.
Velma is crate trained and she is doing well with her house training; this girl does best when kept on a schedule. Velma will do almost anything for a Scooby Snack (broiled liver), but can sometimes be picky about what other treats she likes. Velma thrives on praise and attention, eagerly wanting to please and be with her person. Velma comes to her name, knows the commands: no, off, sit and leave it.
Velma has been evaluated and found to have a good temperament for a possible therapy dog. However, she would need additional training on specific tasks.
Velma needs to be brushed a couple of times a week and groomed about every 6 weeks to keep her hair from matting. Velma did excellent at the groomer.
Velma has had urinary issues in the past including surgery to remove stones. She needs a quality grain free diet, and an owner who will be vigilant of how much water she drinks as well as her urination habits to avoid further health issues.
Are you thinking what I’m thinking? This girl is one great catch!
Come on, let’s get jinky with it and find Velma a home!
Velma is spayed, microchipped and current on her vaccinations.
If you can be that perfect family for Velma please fill out the adoption application at http://fuzzypawzrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application-2/
