I‘m Oliver, a sweet four year old southern boy. I was living with some people that didn‘t really like me, so they left me outside and didn't really feed me very much. So I kept breaking out of the prison I was in looking for somebody to play with and love me. A nice lady heard about me and talked these not-so-nice people into letting me go live with her, and she found this nice rescue to take me. I am so thankful, and I am now living in Belmont, NC.
I HEARD from my new foster mom that I needed to gain some weight. I was very good at the vet; and when they weighed me, I was 43 pounds. I HEARD Dr C. say that I am heartworm negative, and everyone seemed happy. I have a bald spot on my tummy that I HEARD Dr C say was from laying on concrete, but I now have a soft fluffy bed. I also HEARD that I needed some medication for yeast. I am kind of stinky, but the medicine and baths are helping. I am not so itchy or stinky anymore. I HEARD my foster mommy telling Grandma that I am a good boy and am housetrained and have learned the new routine here real fast. My Mommy goes to work really early, and I have to stay sleeping until Dad gets up. I have my own room during the day while Mom and Dad are at work.
If you are wondering how I HEAR all these things, check out my pictures. I have a set of ears that most Shar-Pei would love to have, and they make me look so dignified.
There are four other dogs here, but my favorite is Charlie. They have all been very nice to me and welcomed me into their pack. We go for walks together and play in the big yard, but I also love to curl up on the couch with my Mommy for some snuggle time. Since I have been here, I have not once tried to run away or jump the fence. That would be really stupid; and like Mommy said, I am really smart and learn fast. I have not been around children, but I think I would like them if they were older.
