Jerry is a happy boy looking for his Tom!! Jerry is a true "dog's dog" -- he's never met a dog he didn't like, and he's always happy to be a partner in crime . . . in a good way, of course! He's a dog park favorite and joins in all the fun without ever causing any commotion -- he just instinctively knows how to blend in and make doggy friends!! But because of his past, it's a little more difficult for him to read people and make friends with them, so we're looking for a very special home with an experienced owner and another dog who needs a friend for companionship and play. Once Jerry gets to know you, he bonds very deeply. (Check out the video!) He's a snuggler on the couch, resting his head in the crook of your neck; he's a great driving buddy, resting his head on your shoulder from the back seat just to keep close. At just 7 months old, we have every reason to believe that in the right environment with patience and structure he will develop the confidence to be (almost) as at-ease with people as he is with dogs, but until then he will definitely do best in a home with at least one other dog and an experienced owner who has the time, patience and love to help this special boy rewrite his life story. Jerry is 7 months old, weighs about 45 pounds with a little more to grow, and he's a healthy boy. If there are children in the home they should be teenagers or older because of his hesitancy around people at first (the commotion will be too much for him right now). He has absolutely no aggression whatsoever -- much the opposite, he is a gentle sensitive boy who really wants to be understood.
