Gustaf's Story...
This stunning black boy is Gustaf. He is a big dog at 100 pounds. He is a bit aloof at first until he gets to know you. He likes children and dogs of all sizes, but he chases cats. He would do best with another doggie playmate because he loves to play all the time. He enjoys Frisbees, large tennis balls, and tuggie toys. He is a vocal dog, and he is still working on his housetraining. He will need plenty of exercise and continued training in his new home to be a happy member of the family. If you would like to meet beautiful Gustaf, please contact us for a meet and greet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gustaf, a Phoenix German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Phoenix, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Phoenix.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Phoenix already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Phoenix breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Phoenix paves the way for another one to be saved.
