Hi! My name is Jonah and I want to tell you all about myself, because I am looking for a "forever" home. I was recently pulled out of the shelter and brought into a foster home. The shelter took great care of me, but I am SOOO happy to finally be in a home where my foster family can lavish attention on me.

As you can see, I am a big, black pit bull/mastiff mix with an enormous head. My foster mom tells me I am beautiful and not to dwell on the big head thing, and she also told me that I am the most well-mannered and adorable dog she has fostered in quite some time. I love other dogs and send calming signals to them (after all, who needs all that drama associated with fighting). I even got the extremely temperamental St. Bernard in my foster home to like me! She growled at me for the first few days and tried to bite me, but I just turned my head and told her to get over herself. Now she plays with me and we have a lot of fun running around with the basset hound who also lives with us.

I am about two years old, 82 pounds, and I was recently neutered. I was upset about that at first, but my foster mom told me I didn't need those things and that I would be so much happier and healthier without them. I love to snuggle and I am definitely a lap dog! I adore people of all ages and I would be a wonderful family dog. If you have kids I could help you out by sitting on them while you do chores. I sit on my foster mom all the time and she lets me curl up next to her on the couch. She says I give great hugs and that I smell really good now that she has given me a bath.

In closing, I am crate trained, housebroken, and up to date on all my shots. I pull a little bit on the leash but I am learning not to get so excited when I am taken on walks. I sit for treats without being told (I am a little skinny so I LOVE to eat). I am really and truly good boy and although I love my foster family, what I really want is a permanent home. Since I am so good with other dogs and love all humans, it shouldn't be too hard to find someone to love me. If you would like me to come and sit on you, play with you, snuggle with you, and love you forever, please fill out an application for me today!
