My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This delightful Doberman is Apollo, a 7 year old boy that would absolutely love a happy, loving home of his own. Apollo came to us with his sister, Artemis, from an inner-city shelter in South Jersey that had no room for them. The two were found as strays and we think it's safe to assume that they led a pretty unhappy life where they were quite neglected. Both show signs and scars of being left outside in the elements for many years, yet even being mistreated this way, they still truly love people. Apollo picked on his sister an awful lot, so we have separated them and they were much happier. Apollo would do best in a home with no other pets. He is so incredibly gentle with people and just loves everyone he meets. It only takes Apollo a minute of investigatory sniffing to see that you're okay, and once he does, he will stand on his hind legs and gently hug you, while gazing up at you, hoping that you'll show him some affection. He is extremely well behaved and at both the vet and the groomer, he is an absolute gentleman. Please don't be deterred by Apollo's age...he is spunky, fun loving, and has many good years ahead of him to share with a family that loves him. Please give our beautiful boy Apollo the great home that he's never had, but has been dreaming of for so long.
