My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet super handsome Bobby Kennedy. He was part of a puppy mill Despite all he has been through he really wants love. He is a sweet guy but a bit shy so a quieter home with a patient family would be best. He is warming up quickly in his foster home now that he is learning to trust.

From his foster family: Nelson is shy around people. He's not one to come up to you for attention but will make an exception for treats!. However he's perfectly happy to hang out, especially with his buddy Bobby (who may be his son). Nelson is really dependent on Bobby. If he gets scared the first thing he does is head for Bobby, getting next to or behind him. When Bobby plays outside Nelson won't chase after toys, but he will run along with Bobby on occasion. Having said all that, he has opened up and will get close to you when things are calm. Since they were first reunited at our house they've rarely been out of site of each other. They haven't had it easy so we're really hoping to adopt them out together.

All of our dogs have been spayed or neutered, micro-chipped, had rabies, bordetella and distemper/lepto/parvo vaccines as well as been de-wormed and had flea medication applied. They come with a free vet check at Mt. Tabor Vet Care. We offer a 10% discount for seniors, veterans and students. We accept Visa, MasterCard and Discover. We don't adopt our small dogs out to families with children under 6 years of age. All of our dogs are in foster homes. We have an adoption application and check references. Pound to Posh is a 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to saving dogs from high kill shelters.
