My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

After a long road to recovery from severe starvation and neglect, Ragdoll is officially up for adoption! We are taking applications now to find the perfect local home for this very special little girl- please email one from our website www.secondchance.petfinder.com if you are interested. It's hard to believe how far Ragdoll has come in less than 2 months since we found her near-death in the local pound. She has almost doubled in weight, her coat is coming backs in nicely, and her severe eye ulcer continues to heal. And she went from screaming and snapping in fear when touched to running up to everyone she meets giving kisses and looking for belly rubs! We think she's about 1-2 years old and still acts very much like a puppy, and the consensus is she appears to be a Cavishon now that her hair is starting to grow back in! She loves to play with toys and her other young doggie friends in her foster home. As energetic as she can be, when playtime is over she loves to cuddle up in bed with you for a nap. She is looking for an adult household where someone will be with her most of the time, and would love to have another doggie friend that likes to play. She will need to continue her daily regimen of eye drops as her eye continues to heal, and will need to be on at least one of the drop for life for chronic dry eye. We originally named her Ragdoll for her limp appearance when rescued, but now the name still suits her as she will just lay in your arms cuddling for hours if you let her! Please send an application if you are interested in this very special little girl who enjoys every day and seems to truly understand she's been given a second chance! You can read her full story and see pics from when we first rescued her here http://hendrickboards.com/.../critical-needs.../save-ragdoll

We do not have a shelter- all our pets are in foster homes and can be seen by appointment only during the week, or at our weekly pet adoptions every Sunday at the Animal Clinic of Morris Plains from 12:30 to 3PM at 3009 Route 10 East next to 5 Star Car Wash (formerly Boulder Car Wash) in Morris Plains (Denville on GPS). To help us better match a pet to your household, we request you fill out an application on our homepage www.secondchance.petfinder.com and copy and paste it into an email, or print it and bring it to our adoption day when you come. Local inquiries only please- we do not do long distance adoptions.
