Sammy's Info...

I am already neutered, up to date with shots, and good with dogs.

Sammy's Story...
Sammy is a high spirited 5-month old pup. He is probably a smooth coated Border Collie with a bit of Jack Russell Terrier, which explains his high level of energy. Sammy loves to play - with people, other dogs, and cats (although cats don't seem to "get" him). Sammy also likes to be in charge and would do well either alone or with a submissive dog.

Sammy is very bright and could be a great agility dog if his forever family would enjoy that activity. He is super loving and likes to be near his people whenever possible. He does well in a kennel during the day and is nearly housebroken, using piddle pads when he can't get outside. Sammy has been trained on an invisible fence and has done quite well playing with other dogs at the dog park.

Sammy is microchipped, neutered & up to date on his shots & vaccines. Please complete an online application at www.rescueAhart.org if you'd like to meet him. Thanks!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sammy, a Cincinnati Border Collie/Jack Russell Terrier puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Jack Russell Terrier for sale in Cincinnati, or seeking a Border Collie/Jack Russell Terrier puppy from a breeder in Cincinnati.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cincinnati already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cincinnati breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Jack Russell Terrier breeders who help with Border Collie/Jack Russell Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cincinnati paves the way for another one to be saved.
