My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Thomas. 3 yo +/- Classic Red Tabby Scottish Fold
Thomas is the BEST cat ever! He appears to be a very well bred Fold
with tightly capped ears, and good conformation to breed standards.
He came to the local Humane Society as a stray, but we cannot imagine
how anyone would have let this guy just wander off. Thomas is
confident and very healthy. Even a couple of weeks in a shelter
didn't seem to cause him any troubles. He must have been well fed
because his coat is thick, he's at a good weight, his ears are clean,
and he doesn't seem to have any internal parasites.
Enough about his specs, though! Let's talk personality. It's great!
He chirps at you or trills when he talks to you. He even has a little
hum when he purrs. When he had to be sequestered in the master
bathroom for his quarantine period, he was not destructive or loud.
He just snuggled up in his basket, or found a way to sneak inside a
cupboard. When we came in, up he jumped to have a nice little chat
with us. He loves to sit in the window and look out at the trees and
the birds. He seems to enjoy being picked up and held which can be
unusual for a Scottish Fold, who tend to like to keep all four feet
on the floor.
Thomas hasn't had a lot of interaction w/ other cats yet, but what
little we've seen of him, we think he'll do fine with another cat or
two. He's smelled the dogs, and maybe even gotten a glance or two at
them. He doesn't seem bothered by them, so we're thinking he might
even do OK with gentle dogs. Thomas would probably do well with
gentle kids, but his first preference in any human companionship is
someone who will sit down, pet him, and have a nice quiet
conversation along the lines of "how did your day go today, honey?".
