Here's what the humans have to say about me:
It’s always easy to think small but you get better results when you go BIG!
For the best results of the day take a look at our big, beautiful girl Sadie! Don’t let her size fool you Sadie is a big pushover and is very gentle; though she does get excited when she sees a leash and knows it’s time to go. And be forewarned she enjoys giving her people kisses.
Sadie is a 5 year old St. Bernard/Anatolian mix who became homeless after her only family passed away. When Fuzzy Pawz Rescue saw her sweet face sitting in a shelter they pulled her out and placed her in a foster home in Boise, ID.
This pretty girl weighs 95 pounds, has a thick coat that will need brushing; but is a great house pet. She is house trained, dog door trained and knows the commands sit, down and come. Sadie likes to play fetch and is pretty good and bring the ball back. She is good in the house but she will sniff at stuff on the kitchen counter; she is almost tall enough to reach but we have never seen her take anything off of the counter.
Sadie gets along fine with most dogs she meets but is suspect of small
dogs she doesn't know and will bark at them if they are hyper or have
shown her aggression. We would say it’s best if she goes to home with no tiny dogs. We are unsure how she is with cats.
She is low energy and will not need a lot of exercise – a walk a day will be good. Sadie does have a limp that is the result of an old ACL injury that was not treated. Surgery is not recommend because it has healed. Fuzzy Pawz has started Sadie on the supplement Myristin and taken her in for acupuncture; both of which have helped. Don’t let the limp worry you though Sadie gets around just fine she’s just a bit slow.
