My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I'm Shosh! I am a gentle, affectionate, 17 pound middle aged
girl. I'm great company. I follow my foster mom and dad around the
house, and when they have visitors, I come right up and roll over for
my belly rub. I've found it doesn't do to be too subtle! I'm friends
with everyone-- dogs, cats, kids, I'm ready to be their buddy. The
rest of the time around the house, I love to snooze on the comfy
doggie bed my foster family got me.

I didn't have the best of luck before I came to Broken Tail. I
wandered as a stray until some nice people found me, but my original
owners never came for me, although I waited and waited. And then the
vet broke the bad news-- I had cancer. Can you imagine, after all
that?

But now my luck's getting so much better. I will be having some of
the tumors removed the first week of April. The vet says my prognosis
is good and I probably have at least two happy years ahead of me. I
can get a lot of snuggling and napping and belly rubs in in that
time-- so now all I need is a loving home! Maybe it'll be yours?

Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
