My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Honey was given the name Honey because all the volunteers who walk and feed her think she is as sweet as honey. She is a very shy, sweet, calm, beautiful 1 to 2 year old who is very healthy. About 35 lbs full grown. Honey was found wandering highway 174 on Edisto Island hunting for food at the dump and along the road. She has a small frame and very pretty face. She loves other dogs and loves being petted. We were told Honey's owner was going to shoot her because she was not a good hunter. Thank goodness his girlfriend would not let him do that so he abandoned her instead. Honey never wants to be near hunting again! Please consider giving this wonderful dog the loving forever home she deserves. She is a very calm, gentle dog. Walks great on a leash and rides good in the car. We think she would be a wonderful pet for children. She is Up to date on shots, spayed, and heartworm negative. ALL SHE NEED IS LOVE, LOVE, LOVE! Your first step in adopting Honey is to fill out an adoption application. All information on the application must be completed including phone numbers and a vet reference (an old one, or a reason why there is not one) before it will be processed. Please contact Margaret at 843-869-3869 for an adoption application, for more information, or to set up a date and time to meet Honey! Thank you.
