My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This adorable pup is Calamity, a boxer/cattle dog mix that just bopped through our doors from our Newark facility in search of a wonderful home of her own. Calamity came to our Newark facility a couple of months ago, when someone witnessed her being thrown to the ground and slammed against a wall by a deranged person. The incident was quickly reported and Calamity was brought to the safety of our Newark facility. She was emaciated and suffering with an upper respiratory infection so she got the good care that she needed, then came to Popcorn Park to look for a home. Calamity is less than a year old and is just a darling little girl. She just wants to have fun and be your best friend. She occasionally shows signs of being abused and will squint and cringe if reached for too quickly, but she is so loving and trusting, she will get over that quickly. Calamity adores people and makes friends easily. She will try to climb on your lap just seconds after meeting her, and is always ready to stand on her hind legs to give you a gentle hug. She has not had much training but is still well behaved for a puppy. Calamity gets along fine with other dogs too. She would love a home with a nice backyard to run and play in, and a family that will adore her and treat her with kindness and respect, and never let any harm come to her again. File#23393 3/25/14
