Rory's Story...
Rory is a female Shepherd / Lab mixed puppy, and she was born in November of 2013. She is energetic, playful, and loving; she is also quite shy and will need a patient owner. Rory is affectionate, but she has not been exposed to many new situations or environments. She should do well with other dogs and be trainable with cats. Rory will need a fenced-in yard. She is not for a first time dog owner. Children in her home should 8 years old or older. Rory will be a great companion.

*Rory's adoption fee is $200. All HSSCM puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped, current on vaccinations, dewormed, and on heartworm/flea prevention.*

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rory, a Battle Creek German Shepherd Dog/Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog/Labrador Retriever for sale in Battle Creek, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog/Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Battle Creek.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Battle Creek already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Battle Creek breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Battle Creek paves the way for another one to be saved.
