My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Odie is a 1 year old, pure bred dapple male dachshund. He is new to DREAM, but has settled into his foster home just fine with other dogs and young children. Odie is very friendly to people of all ages and just wants someone to curl up with in a nice chair or throw a few toys to him. He even goes outside on his own to potty and will sleep all night in his crate with no accidents! Being only 1 year old, Odie still has tons of energy & wants to play often. He is a sweet, loving little bundle of cuteness! Would you like to meet Odie?

If you are interested in adopting Odie, you can fill out an application right on our website! Go to dreamhappytails.org/adoptform.shtml. Odie 's adoption fee is $450. All adoption fees go directly to veterinary care for DREAM dachshunds. Odie will go to his new home microchipped, neutered, heartworm tested, and up to date on vaccinations. Most dogs' veterinary expenses are greater than our adoption fees.

DREAM is an all-volunteer rescue group, and we focus on the Atlanta, North Georgia and Savannah area. Because we are all volunteers, we can consider applications only within an hour of these areas. DREAM does not recommend purebred dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a doxie's back.
